The Tolkien Trail Race takes place at Stoneyhurst College, Hurst Green.
The registration is located outside the front of Stonyhurst College.
Parking this year will be kept entirely on the Stonyhurst College grounds itself. Please follow Sat Navs to Stonyhurst College, Clitheroe, Lancashire BB7 9PZ using Knowels Brow Road and avoid using the avenue through the village. We will be operating a one way system through the college, please follow marshal directions as to where to park.
As this event has become more popular than we could ever have imagined and will continue to get bigger, we have had to look at ways to allow more runners to race and ease pressures on the village.
Although our marshals are very competent and clever hobbitses, we do ask that you bear with us iwhilst we get you parked in the grounds.
Registration opens at 8:00am where you will collect your numbers and closes at 10:45am.
Preordered t-shirts and vests will be able to collect from next to the registration stand.
Race breifing will begin at the avenue at 10:50pm. Please make sure you're there on time to hear the important safety briefing beforehand. The race will then begin at 11:00am for wave 1 and 11:20am for wave 2. Please only set off in the wave you registered for.
Craft pizza from Graft Pizza and grilled goods from Pendle Grill will be available post race - please bring cash incase of poor signal.
As the race takes place in July on flat, sheltered trails, road shoes or light trail shoes will be sufficient. If the weather is like the our first year of the race, you may wish to consider a pair of rugged trail shoes.
